How Gastronauts Works

We’re a social club for adventurous eaters. We don’t charge a membership, nor do we make any money beyond covering our expenses. Once a month, always on a Tuesday, we the Gastronauts arrange an amazing dinner at a different location with a special adventurous menu created just for our members. We send out an invite with an approximate dinner cost that includes drinks, folks RSVP, and we then see everyone at the dinner. At the end of the night, we collect cash from everyone and pay the restaurant bill. It’s that simple.

There are only a few major guidelines:

You have to try to try to eat what is in front of you.

Just that: Try to try. No obligation beyond that. 

We take care of the menu. 

(So, don’t order things independently. Just show up and we’ll take care of the ordering, timing, and sometimes even the seating.)

You do have to pay for your dinner.

Gastronauts doesn’t profit from the dinners. All the money goes to pay the restaurant bill and expenses.  And we have never had a no-show.
