A Dinner at the Southside Supper Club

Xin chào, Nauts!

n celebration of one of our favorite obscure holidays, we’ve finally gotten our act together to throw a Death Anniversary of the Hung Kings feast. This has nothing to do with Game of Thrones, though we’ve been pitching HBO for a number of years for a series on the glorious and bloody history of Vietnamese royalty. (Geoffrey’s dead: poison. Discuss.) But we digress.

Spoilers aside, here’s something you can take to the bank: this promises to be an extremely well-endowed feast. And you can bet your dong on that. Wait. What? Come on, people, get your head out of the gutter — we’re not having you-know-what as the main course.

This is a family affair. Our friend, Fred Hua, of Williamsburg’s much-loved Nha Toi and the South Side Supper Club, has created an amazing meal for us, with six courses of the most interesting Viet-inspired food you can shake a stick at.

The only downside is that, like royalty, this one’s pretty exclusive. We’ve only got a limited number of seats. So much so that — to make sure as many of us Nauts get a taste of what Fred’s cooking up — we’re doing two dinners on successive nights, on April 21 and 22. (Don’t say we never did nuttin’ for you.)

RSVP immediately on this one and come celebrate the start of warm weather with us. Ladies: wear your best ao dai. Gents: well, just come packing…
