This month, we teamed up with our friends in the New York food world, with Liza de Guia of food.curated., and Kickstarter in Brooklyn to organize a very cool event—a big party for a big cause.
How many times have you asked yourself, “What’s happening at the border—the policy of separating families indefinitely, even losing children, and being unable to reunite the families—is wrong. But what can I do about it?”
Well, we in the New York food community decided to do something. And you did too. We useed our skills and resources to help raise funds for the Florence Project, an organization of lawyers dedicated to helping immigrant families. All you joined us, told everyone, and brought lots of your friends. Thank you!
