Mapo Brains at Szechuan House in Flushing
Gastronauts!
This blurry red image may not be as exciting as a photograph of a black hole. But, the dish in this snapshot is everything as fiery and several billion times heavier than the sun. Like its cousin in the Virgo constellation, you’ll find yourself unable to stop eating. You’re looking at rare preview of Tuesday’s headlining dish: Mapo Brain Flower—also known as Pork Brains with a LOT of heat.
Then of course there’s the rest of the menu to consider. Ox tongue and tripe, Kidney. But we promise you, you’ll come back to the brains again and again. We did. We’ve secured up an unlimited supply of Tsing Tao beer, just in case.
So take our word for it: You gotta come and eat this dish. Or don’t: There’ll be more for us. (Yeah, it’s like that.)
