A Return to Bobo's Farm
Gastronauts!
The last time we went to Bobo’s Farm, it was so amazing that right after the epic dinner we immediately put down another (yes, hefty) deposit to do it all over again. So, we’re going back. If you were foolish enough to miss it last time, this is your chance to correct that mistake.
If you’re new to this, Bobo’s Farm is a magical little place in New Paltz serving Mongolian and deeply authentic northern Chinese food. How deeply authentic, you ask? Well, they have a special hole in the ground into which they lower entire lambs covered in mustard seeds, cover it with a lid and dirt, and roast them for hours. Meanwhile, the cooks fire up three massive outdoor wok stations and prepare dish after delicious dish… Then they pull the lamb out of the hole, wheel it into a yurt, cut it up, place it on a GIANT lazy Susan with all the other dishes…and you eat. It’s bonkers good.
So, we are doing it all again: a whole roasted lamb, goose stew, fish stew, beer duck, pork ribs with sauerkraut, Sichuan bacon and sausage, pig’s ears in hot sauce, jelly noodles, tofu skin, and enough other dishes to make the long drive so worth it.
